Section A – Officers of the Association
The officers of the Local Association shall include a President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer who must be serving as Directors of the Local Association at the time of election.
Section B – Election
The Local Association Board shall elect all officers.
Section C – Term
The term for elected officers is one (1) year and may be re-elected for additional terms. The Local Association Board determines the number of years in one term and the number of terms allowed.
Section D – Authority and Duties
President
(a) Presides at Meetings of the Members and Local Association Board meetings.
(b) Acts as spokesperson for the Local Association.
(c) Appoints Committees, except nominating, with Local Association Board approval.
(d) Responsible for implementation of the CTF performance standards.
(e) Performs other duties as prescribed by the Local Association Board policy manual and in the CTF Policy Manual.
Vice President
(a) Presides at Meetings of the Members or Local Association Board meetings when the President is absent.
(b) Performs other duties as prescribed by the Local Association Board policy manual and in the CTF Policy Manual.
Secretary
The Secretary is:
(a) Accountable to the Local Association Board.
(b) Performs other duties as prescribed by the Local Association Board policy manual and in the CTF Policy Manual.
Treasurer
The Treasurer is:
(a) Accountable to the Local Association Board.
(b) Performs other duties as prescribed by the Local Association Board policy manual and in the CTF Policy Manual.
Director At Large
The Director at Large is limited to members who have previously served on the board in an executive or director position.
(a) Serves as an advisor to the Board of Directors.
(b) Does not hold a director position.
(c) May attend regular board of director meetings.
(d) Has voice only at board meetings.
(e) The President, with Local Association Board approval may appoint a Director at Large.
Associate Member(s)
Associate members are individuals who would perform specific duties for the Association.
(a) Attend regular board meetings to report on topics.
(b) Does not hold a director position.
(c) Has voice only at board meetings.
(d) The President, with Local Association Board approval may appoint a Director at Large
